WHEN TO USE IT
When this task is useful
Save the schedule, reporting period, template, and output location for a recurring report, then review current-evidence preview and changes and approve that run only.
PREPARE
Check these items before you start
Prepare a validated template, source profiles, reporting period, time zone, and output folder outside the source tree.
STEP BY STEP
Complete these steps in order
Prepare a validated template, source profiles, reporting period, time zone, and output folder outside the source tree.
Save schedule and rules in Recurring reports, open the due-run preview, review evidence, figures, stale or conflict states and the new filename, then approve it.
Verify that next-run time, template version, source snapshot, approval hash, and result state are linked in the same run record.
A due schedule never silently finalizes unreviewed content; only an approved run generates a new filename, and earlier outputs remain preserved.
FOR EXAMPLE
Installed synthetic ESG Demo
These files and values are automatically verified against the synthetic Demo shipped with Orbivell; they are not personal or company data.
- Files
- ESG_Report_2025.pdf, Emission_Data_2024_2025.xlsx
- Question
- What are the Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, and where are they located?
- Orbivell result
- Orbivell shows Scope 1 at 1,110 tCO2e and Scope 2 at 2,640 tCO2e as separate claims linked to a document page or spreadsheet cell.
- User action
- Open each source location, then adopt only the claims you verified.
- Final result
- Only the two adopted figures enter the ESG status draft, and the source files remain unchanged.
CHECK THE RESULT
How to know the task is complete
- Verify that next-run time, template version, source snapshot, approval hash, and result state are linked in the same run record.
- A due schedule never silently finalizes unreviewed content; only an approved run generates a new filename, and earlier outputs remain preserved.
EVIDENCE STATE AND NEXT ACTION
Read the state, then make the decision
Even SUPPORTED claims should be adopted only after opening the source location. PARTIAL, CONFLICT, NOT_FOUND, and NEEDS_REVIEW are never silently finalized; choose the appropriate next action: open the source, correct a value, add evidence, or exclude the item.
LOCAL/EXTERNAL AI AND COST
Review transfer and cost before execution
Local only
Indexing, keyword search, opening sources, and reviewing existing results can run with zero external AI requests and zero AI credits.
When external AI is selected
Orbivell shows the provider, excerpt scope, estimated credits, and cap, and sends only after one-time approval. Actual usage is reconciled with an append-only ledger.
LIMITS AND ERRORS
What Orbivell does not silently finalize
A run remains in review for insufficient evidence, conflict, source changes, or output-name collision. Saving a schedule never means automatic output approval.
Error or state code: PERIODIC_REPORT_APPROVAL_REQUIRED
If the state repeats, follow the next action shown in Status. Do not alter the source or delete failure records; request support with a redacted diagnostics bundle.
