WHEN TO USE IT
When this task is useful
Open an allowed local SQLite database read-only, preview tables, views, and columns, and map them to document fields without executing writes, DDL, or ATTACH.
PREPARE
Check these items before you start
Confirm a separate backup and read permission for the SQLite source. Do not choose a locked temporary copy or another application's internal database.
STEP BY STEP
Complete these steps in order
Confirm a separate backup and read permission for the SQLite source. Do not choose a locked temporary copy or another application's internal database.
In Data mapping, select a read-only SQLite source, preview allowed tables or views and columns, then explicitly approve the field mapping.
Verify read-only mode and confirm selected columns, types, null handling, and sample values against the source.
Only approved SELECT results enter the mapping snapshot, and the SQLite source modification time and hash remain unchanged.
FOR EXAMPLE
Installed synthetic procurement-audit Demo
These files and values are automatically verified against the synthetic Demo shipped with Orbivell; they are not personal or company data.
- Files
- Approval_Log.csv, Purchase_Orders.xlsx, Invoices.pdf, Delivery_Confirmations.pdf
- Question
- Link the approval, invoice, and delivery evidence for PO-2026-014.
- Orbivell result
- Orbivell links PO-2026-014, INV-2026-032, and DC-2026-014 and shows the CSV row, Excel cell, and PDF page locations.
- User action
- Review extracted fields, correct only misread values, and approve them.
- Final result
- Only approved links are included in the audit draft and manifest.
CHECK THE RESULT
How to know the task is complete
- Verify read-only mode and confirm selected columns, types, null handling, and sample values against the source.
- Only approved SELECT results enter the mapping snapshot, and the SQLite source modification time and hash remain unchanged.
EVIDENCE STATE AND NEXT ACTION
Read the state, then make the decision
Even SUPPORTED claims should be adopted only after opening the source location. PARTIAL, CONFLICT, NOT_FOUND, and NEEDS_REVIEW are never silently finalized; choose the appropriate next action: open the source, correct a value, add evidence, or exclude the item.
LOCAL/EXTERNAL AI AND COST
Review transfer and cost before execution
Local only
Indexing, keyword search, opening sources, and reviewing existing results can run with zero external AI requests and zero AI credits.
When external AI is selected
Orbivell shows the provider, excerpt scope, estimated credits, and cap, and sends only after one-time approval. Actual usage is reconciled with an append-only ledger.
LIMITS AND ERRORS
What Orbivell does not silently finalize
Encrypted databases, extension loading, multiple statements, write pragmas, ATTACH, and network databases are not allowed. Large queries may stop at row or time limits.
Error or state code: SQLITE_READ_ONLY_POLICY_REJECTED
If the state repeats, follow the next action shown in Status. Do not alter the source or delete failure records; request support with a redacted diagnostics bundle.
